Problems I Fix

SoundFamiliar?

Most people who contact me already have a WordPress site. Something about it is holding them back.

  • The theme almost does what you need. The last 10% needs real code, and nobody wants to touch it.
  • The previous developer disappeared. The site works, but nobody knows how, and small changes break things.
  • Plugins stacked on plugins. Twenty plugins do what one small custom plugin could do, and the site is slow.
  • Updates are scary. Every WordPress or PHP update risks a white screen.
  • The admin is a mess. Your team avoids editing the site because it is confusing.

I read the existing code first, change as little as possible, and leave notes so the next developer can follow what I did.

How It Works

FiveSimple Steps
  1. Tell me what you need. Send the site link and a short note. Screenshots help.
  2. Plan and price. You get a short written plan and a fixed price, or an hourly estimate for small work.
  3. Build on staging. I work on a copy when possible, so your live site stays safe.
  4. Test and review. You check everything before it goes live.
  5. Launch and handover. I deploy, check the live site and send notes on what changed.

On Upwork, WordPress developers’ median rates are about $15 to $28 an hour. Agency rates vary. If your budget is lower than my starting prices, message me anyway. I will try to find a way to work within it.

I've worked with Mostafa on several of my websites, Ghana Guardian included, and he designed and built each one from the ground up. He understands what a news site needs: a clean layout that's easy to read and pages that load fast. When I ask for changes he replies quickly and gets them done without any fuss. He's the first person I call whenever one of my sites needs work.

I've been using AltScribe, and it's a really useful plugin for managing image alt text in WordPress. I especially like the support for multiple AI providers and automatic fallback. The bulk alt-text generation saves a lot of time, and the content sync feature is a great addition.

Mostafa set up Google AdSense on my site and got it approved without any back and forth. Since then I've gone back to him every time I needed a new tracking code added, whether it was Analytics, Tag Manager or a pixel for an ad campaign. He puts everything in the right place, tests that it's actually firing, and nothing on the site breaks. I don't have to explain things twice, which I value a lot.

Mostafa built our online course site, Ruqyah Shikka, from the ground up. He set up the courses, payments and student accounts so people can sign up, pay and start learning without having to call us for help. Most of our students come from their phones, and the site runs smoothly on mobile too. Whenever something needs fixing he responds quickly and explains it in plain words.
