The conference team was collecting speaker bios by email and pasting them in by hand, which meant typos, old photos and a lot of back and forth. Creating WordPress accounts for every speaker was not something they wanted to manage either.
I wrote a plugin that gives each speaker a unique secret link. Opening it shows a front-end form with their current name, bio, headshot and social links, and saving writes straight to their speaker post. No login, no dashboard. The organisers can regenerate a link if one leaks.
The one awkward part was a CSS conflict: Elementor’s global form styles were turning my form into a flex row. Switching the plugin’s template hook from template_redirect to template_include at a late priority fixed it without touching the theme.
